ORBEA

The images in this gallery are not cycling photographs, but they represent the style of storytelling I would bring to a project with Orbea. My work centres on environmental portraiture—creating strong, carefully constructed portraits that reveal not only who someone is, but also the world they inhabit. The aim is to move beyond a simple portrait and create photographs that carry a genuine sense of place, purpose and authenticity.

Mountain biking offers an incredible opportunity for this kind of visual storytelling. Every rider, guide, mechanic, engineer and craftsperson has a story worth telling. Whether documenting an Orbea-supported athlete preparing for competition, following a mountain guide through their local trails, capturing the next generation of riders, or stepping inside the factory to meet the people who design and build the bikes, each story contributes to the identity of the brand.

What excites me most is the opportunity to connect these individual stories into one larger narrative. Following the journey from concept and craftsmanship, through testing and preparation, to the moment a rider disappears into the mountains creates a visual thread that celebrates not just the product, but the people behind it. These are the kinds of authentic, human stories that build lasting emotional connections with an audience.

Rather than relying solely on action imagery, I believe combining cinematic environmental portraits with documentary moments creates richer, more memorable content. It gives viewers a reason to connect with the people behind the brand, reinforcing Orbea’s values through genuine stories and beautifully crafted photography.
